What is Mindfulness Coaching?

Mindfulness coaching is where mindfulness and life coaching come together. By incorporating mindfulness practices into our sessions, you'll increase your self-awareness and EQ. As you become more aware, you'll quickly discover what's really holding you back in life. Once you know and understand your thought patterns, limiting beliefs and habits, the more successful you'll become. Having a regular mindfulness practice will also help you to significantly reduce emotional reactivity, stress, anxiety and overwhelm while reaching your goals. Over the course of 90 days, I will coach you, hold you accountable and support you in creating the most magical, joyful, and authentic life of your dreams.

What is Mindfulness?

Mindfulness is the practice of being present and engaged with all aspects of life: the good/bad, the light and the dark.  It’s about living with intention and purpose and includes many practices like meditation, breath-work, gratitude, affirmation, ayurveda, mantra, and yoga.

What is Meditation?

It’s the practice of training the mind to focus on one object, thought or activity to increase attention and awareness (mindfulness) promoting a mentally clear, and emotionally calm, stable state.

What are Affirmations?

An affirmation is a positive statement set in the present tense. You either state it aloud or silently to yourself. Affirmations encourage you to change your view of yourself and the world around you. They boost your self-esteem, and attack your limiting beliefs, and reduce negative thoughts. 

 

Example: I am enough. I am strong. I live in abundance. I flow through life with ease and grace.

What does it mean to live with Intention?

To live with intention and purpose is to stop going through life on 'auto-pilot'. It's about living in alignment with your values, dreams and goals. It's about getting out of your own way by no longer allowing your emotions to dictate what you do or do not do by focusing on where you're going instead.

Why practice Gratitude?

When you practice gratitude daily, what you have becomes enough. Everything else becomes "extra". When you are able to clearly articulate, see, feel and appreciate what's around you, the things around you change. Practicing gratitude is also an excellent way to counteract our brain's built-in 'negativity bias'.  So the more you practice, you'll begin to hardwire your brain in to seeing the positive things in life more regularly.

What is Yoga?

Yoga isn't exercise or stretching although it can be both of those things. The Sanskrit word yoga means to "yoke" or find union. It is the union of self between, mind, body, and spirit. It is a mindful movement practice that helps clear stuck energies in the body, preparing you for a deeper, seated meditation practice.

What is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda is a Sanskrit word which translates to mean life science and is the sister science to yoga. It's about balancing the 5 energies of earth, air, fire, water, wind and ether. It is believed that all things are made up of some combination of these elements or energies. When these energies become imbalanced that can wreak havoc on the mind and body. Depending on your nature, there are different self-care, meditation and breath work practices to help you maintain inner balance and harmony. One of my goals as your coach, is to help you become aware of these subtle energies at play, and to keep them balanced so you can maintain a stable, grounded state everyday.
